1. Where and how can I connect to the free Wi-Fi?

We currently offer free public Wi-Fi at Bondi Beach. Just look for the network ‘Hello Bondi’ in your Wi-Fi settings. We are rolling it out across Tamarama and Bronte Beach as well as Bondi Junction in the near future. Please have a look at the map to see the current WI-FI coverage areas.

2. What’s the best way to get to Bondi Beach?

Getting around Bondi and surrounds is easy. You can access Bondi Beach with many modes of transport. Frequent busses run from the city and Bondi Junction. From Bondi Junction it will take around 12 minutes, or you can walk down Bondi Road, which is lined with shops and cafes and takes around 30 minutes.

3. What are the normal opening hours for shops?

Popular shopping areas, including Bondi Junction and Bondi Beach, are open seven days a week, from 9am to 5.30pm except on Thursdays when many shops are open until about 9pm. Specialty shops in major shopping centres open later in the morning but will stay open until 6pm or 7pm Monday to Friday, with 9am-5pm trading on weekends.

4. Is there a tourism information centre in Bondi?

Hello Bondi is our virtual visitor information centre. We don’t have a physical shopfront at the moment. Hello Bondi will provide tourist information and services.

5. Which beaches are best for swimming/surfing?

Depending on the surf conditions, all of our beaches can offer great swimming/surfing. Have a look at our live surf cam. If the sea is a bit rough that day then try one of our iconic ocean pools at Bondi and Bronte.

6. What are the top things to do and see in Bondi?

There is plenty to see and do in Bondi, no matter what your interests are – emerging in the art & culture scene, exploring our many walking trails and of course enjoying our stunning beaches with water activities abound.ways to live like a local during your stay. 7. Where can I get a map of the area?

Hello Bondi offers an interactive map rich with information perfect for visitors. It shows you where the nearest ATM and public toilets are, where to catch the bus or get a taxi, and where you can find free public Wi-Fi.

8. I am travelling with kids. Can you recommend any kid-friendly attractions?

Bondi and surrounds have many playgrounds and parklands to choose from. A lot of the major events are also perfect for the young ones. Check the calendar to see what’s on while you are here.

9. Where can I park?

Council offers three public car park towers in Bondi Junction and on-street parking throughout the area. See the Parking page for an overview including fees.

10. Can you recommend a good restaurant?

You are spoilt for choice when wanting a good bite to eat in Bondi. With cafes and restaurants side by side on all main streets, we are happy to help provide you with a bit of an overview.
